:deal... Pac owned him and he would do it AGAIN! Easy work for Pac.. Floyd would UD Cotto, easy work! Kirkland would smash Cotto, Martinez would make Cotto look like a child.

As much as I've been crapping on Cotto lately (not because of him, but because his fans were so over the top) I think he is a very good boxer. However, he's had his best days, and remains in my opinion a B level fighter, maybe the gate keeper to the elite which is how he will probably be matched in future fights. I think Margarito and Cotto are largely spent forces. But they're still big names by which to move other boxers along. Maybe not Margarito, he's done for good.

Just a quick and recent example of why you're wrong - Ricky Hatton.

I've never seen anyone say he's an ATG, but he's like 8-2 against titlists and a lock for the hall of fame. He has quite a few good wins, and over the same span, I'd be hard pressed to find 5 guys with harder schedules overall.

    Cotto's resume says otherwise.

Cotto is a solid fighter. I dont think he's in the ATG conversations, but at the weight class he was in during his prime he was a solid fighter. Great heart, good boxer, good puncher and always very respectful. And he always carried his country's name with respect.

This would not end well for Cotto again.
