Cotto is a totally different beast. hatton even if he beats mayweather should not fight cotto. If the fight did happen it would be an absoutle war with one fighter going out in a body bag. Neither of them would give any ground. the main reason why this fight is a bad idea

    1. Cotto is a big natural welter with proven ko power,
mayweather is not a natural welter and he doesnt have ko power at welter weight.

I agree Cotto would win but, Ricky no power? tell that to Jose Luis Castillos Broken rib cage who ended up with 4 broken ribs. It doesn't matter if Hatton was 140lbs or 147lbs Punches that break ribs are punches that break ribs. Cotto vs Hatton would be a spectacular fight for however long it lasted.

Cotto is so physically strong at 147, but like Hatton is at 140. Cotto would be too big and powerful for Cotto, it would be an awesome inside battle but Cotto would stop Hatton in the later rounds. To say he'd end his career is ridicolous, Cotto would take alot of punishment in this fight too.

Great fight, the difference is Cotto has the ability to pick away at Hatton why Hatton seemingly has on gear. A great gear it is but not one that I would recommened to use all night vs Cotto.

Cotto would be in for a long night vs Hatton or PBF but I can see both fights going either way....your talking about the three young influential icons in boxing today....probably the top three. It must be competitive.

No it aint, Hatton has a great style, very entertaining, imagine if everyone was just a slick boxer, wouldnt be much fun, no one said what a boxer should fight like, its still PURE boxing regardless of the style.

I like Hatton at 140, Cotto at 147. Really, they're both fit for those respective divisions and not the other.
