If you were the middleweight champ, and the only guys your promoter offered you were an average welterweight in Brandon Rios and a super welter who hasn't won a fight convincingly in nearly four years in Tim Bradley - because Top Rank promotes them - you'd look for greener pastures, too.

Cotto had the most positive press he had in his entire career after winning over Martinez, and Top Rank has managed to make him appear cowardly and totally irrelevant since.

I feel it's just the opposite. Signing with Roc Nation means Cotto wasn't happy at all being offered non-middleweights like Brandon Rios and Tim Bradley.

The biggest middleweight fight that can be made is with Cotto. He could also unify with Andy Lee - if Lee beats Quillin.

The Haymon guys - Quillin and Jacobs - are out because Haymon doesn't want to let Roc Nation in the door.

that's all cotto's fault he is the one refusing to fight the only credible fighter at mw.trying to downplay a fight with ggg by saying he's not a big enough name.cotto only has himself to blame for looking like a coward.:deal

Cotto doing this doesn't surprise me a lot of guys are or were unhappy with their deals there. This should be no surprise to anyone here. Mikey Garcia, Chavez Jr, Cotto and Rigo. Where there's smoke there's fire.:deal

    How is he a diva?

Calling the shots when you can is not really being a diva

It only gets bad when you're doing it like Mayweather and avoid any and all threats

Oh no. So you're one of those trolls who changes peoples' names to try to try to make some grand point?

    :patsch

Those guys are the most annoying people in the world.

How many non-middleweights has Cotto defended against again, after he knocked out the reigning world middleweight champ?

Oh right, zero. And he dumped the promoter offering him non-middleweights to fight.

You're terrible at this whole boxing thing.:hi:

I'm not a fan boy of "Cotto."

I just don't see grounds for making fun of a guy who fought Mayweather, Pac, Margarito (twice) and Martinez and just dumped his promoter because he was offering him ****py non-middleweight opponents.

As usual, I think you are totally lost. And annoying.

Well, I'm sure all of boxing will sleep better knowing that. And, if fighters who've engaged in wars for years don't fight often enough at the tail end of their careers, I'm sure they'll all live in fear that you'll make up some "in your mind clever" name to shame them.

This could well turn against Cotto.

Roc Nation made HUGE offer to make the Quillin Korobov fight, whcih would have guaranteed Quillin $1.4 million to fight a relatively unknown fighter in Korobov.

Now, Roc has DEEP pockets as evidenced by their outrageous bid for Quillin Korobov.

How much more would they throw out there for a Cotto vs GGG fight, which HBO would likely ADD 5+ million + PPV revenue for?????

This signing could backfire on Cotto.

Roc might offer him 5+ mil to fight GGG, add 2.5 mil from HBO, plus at least 500K+ buys on HBO PPV and Cotto would be forced to turn down 12+ million.

If that happens, Barchams new nickname of Clucko would be the ONLY proper name for the lineal:patsch MW titlist.:-:)-:)-:)-(
