Cotto's in a great position if this happens. He's in great shape, he's motivated, he's got Freddie with a good game plan, and it's a legacy type fight. Sergio is on the decline, and in my opinion has always been overrated, so no, it's not a huge mistake at all. It's a great opportunity for Cotto.

I look forward to him finishing what Chavez Jr. started and dismantling the hypejob Maravilla, hopefully in Las Vegas in front of a global audience of millions.

That's a very disrespectful comment. Cotto is a modern legend and us capable of beating all 3 of the names you mentioned.

Martinez has declined. I mean Chavez Jr just lost to Brian Vera FFS and nearly had Martinez out. I see no reason why Cotto can't do the same. Now I know Chavez is bigger than Cotto but he has half Cotto's skill and none of his work ethic. Bottom line is Cotto has a shot in this fight.

I may be wrong but isnt this fight 15 million compared to 10 million for fighting Alvarez or is that not the case?

Cotto is an not win situation Martinez is bigger than him I'm sure will be betting favorite to retain his belt also Cotto is risking Canelo's fight if he get koed forget about.

I think you are being a fanboy with this GGG shet... Did you not learn shet from Lucas Matthysse, Broner, Lacy etc?

IMO both fighters are pretty much shot so it has little relevance. The winner will get too much credit and the loser likely retires. Sergio is falling apart and Cotto hasn't been a threat since he had 2 bad beatdowns. He is terrible at 154 so I have no idea how this is his "best weight". His wins were against garbage fighters that had no business being contenders. I like Cotto but I am a realist.

I don't think Cotto can beat Sergio, but kudos to him for trying.

If Murry could give Martinez a tough fight, I'm sure Cotto will make a good account of himself. Martinez may not be hurting but I think his reflexes will betray him. Cotto has a great jab and is fast enough to catch Martinez enough to keep him honest. This will be a good fight.

Cotto struggled mightily with Trout. Martinez beats Cotto from pillar to post.

This is true middleweight power Miguel is going to be tasting.
