Cotto SHATTERS that glass jaw. If some featherfisted journeyman could smash Kirkland's fragile mandible into a million pieces, Cotto should be able to do it for sure!

Cotto likely counters the **** outta him. But being that Cotto IS faded, if Kirkland survives the first 5-6 rounds, then who knows.

Tapia a journeyman with the punching power of a butter bar in 90 deg weather had Kirkland doing the funky chicken with a few jabs. Cotto will destroy Kirkland.

First, Kirkland is sloppy, has no defense (worse than Margarito) and has ZERO chin. Second, he will not be able to handle Cotto's technique, foot work and speed.

Seriously speaking, I got Cotto via stoppage in 1 round. It would be much worse than Cotto vs Rod.

Very interesting fight. Kirkland obviously is the much bigger man but Cotto is so many levels above him in terms of skills. No way this fight goes the distance. Kirkland either KO's Cotto or gets KOed himself walking into something big.

I slightly lean towards Cotto. Kirkland doesn't even know the meaning of defense. He'll walk into flush shots time and time again.

    Agreed .

ive have ALWAYS said Cotto should never even entertain a fight with Kirkland .

Cotto always fades in every fight and will get broken down in this fight . Kirkland is just too relentless for a 33 year old Miguel to withstand .

Kirkland takes him out in 8 .

so why did james go on to ko vera, julio, lyell and angulo if he has zero chin?

ffs, 160 chavez couldnt ko lyell nor vera?

little miguel cotto would never be able to ko vera, julio or the prime version of angulo that james fought

    never

Cotto would win in the 1st round. Kirkland is so easy to hit

People comparing Kirkland to Margarito are wrong.. Only way they're similar is aggression.. Margarito puts punches together much better, and is a little sharper.. Kirkland is rougher and probably hits harder.
