According to Big Dan, the Cotto-Lee fight, if it does happen, probably ends up on ppv and not regular HBO. Seems Arum doesn't want it on ppv since the Cotto-Martinez numbers were a disappointment. Cotto does want the fight on ppv though and HBO might not be able to afford the license fee anyways. If Cotto-Lee was on HBO I was mildly ok with the fight. Far from thrilled but atleast it wasn't ppv. A Cotto-Lee fight on ppv is pretty pathetic and even a strong undercard would have a hard time making it justifiable-and I wouldn't count on a strong undercard anyways.
I know we like to bash the promoters a lot, but this is the case of a fighters' greed really sticking it to the fans. No way this fight belongs on PPV.
lee is no pushover. much better chance against cotto than he would have had against triple G. not a ppv though.
