My experience with TV commercials has been it could be up to 6 moths between the date it was filmed and the date it comes out. Cotto, BTW, doesn't look bad. Let's remember he has been dealing with a lot lately. The problems with his uncle and the death of his Dad have been very painfull experiences
Cotto looks like he normally does when he's not preparing for a fight. And he's been dealing with the loss of his father, so everything considered, he doesn't look that bad.
Remember that Cotto is a big eater and a bit like Ricky Hatton in between fights, walking around at 170ish.
You people need to stop disagreeing with Reg. He loves Cotto and only wishes he would take better care of himself :good
Cotto looks flabby like this often in between fights. He's just one of these guys who gains weight easy..... but he's never Ricky Hatton fat.
Im astonished that so many of you are this ****ing stupid. So he doent have a six pack, therefore he is a fat ****? He is still clearly in shape and fit. Just because he's not walking around with 5% bodyfat doesnt make him overweight. And judging him on the basis of how looks going into a fight after 2-3 months training is idiotic. How many fighters, or any professional athlete for that matter, walk around the entire year in top shape and event ready for their sport. Even the best and most healthy guys are not in fighting shape year around.
If Cotto came in the ring looking like Butterbean, the very average Foreman still couldn't beat him. One poster made a good point about Miguels last few fights, Paq, Clottey and Margarito, three guys that couldn't get Mayweather into the ring even at gunpoint. Cotto deserves this gimme, will get a good workout , and afterwards will throw himself back into the fray at 147.
How do you figure? Clottey is an ordinary fighter, Floyd is now fighting a guy who just destroyed Margo, and we all know it would take a blood test and not a gun to get Mayweather to fight Pacquiao. And Cotto shouldn't be throwing himself back into any fray at 147. He should retire after this fight, win or lose.
In addition to what I've already posted on this subject I'd like to add... The tattoos are beginning to trouble me a little bit because it seems like he's trying to physically/emotionally distance himself from the Cotto who fought Margarito and create a new identity :huh . It's troubling because it speaks to just how devastating that loss was and how he is still haunted by it .:scaredas: Is he shot physically, no. Could he be shot mentally though, possibly. I'm a big Cotto fan but it just seems like he's using tattoos and the like to mask his demons and that fact alone doesn't bode well for his future at 147. I'm rooting for him though.:thumbsup
