Sorry, but the pictures from Vegas today at the MGM show a very gaunt looking Cotto. I think he might actually be under 145 looking to gain weight up to 145 in the next couple of days and/or stay the same weight on fight night as on weigh in. He or his camp may think its better to do that then dehydrate/rehydrate. Im feeling ODH Pacman part 2 here if thats the case. The guy does not look like he has in previous fights, days before the fight. If he comes in on fight night at the same weigh in weight of 145, the guy is toast. Just a theory, could be totally wrong. But the guys face looks bad (sunken in) in many of the photos you can find from todays media event.
Cotto is fine. He's been eating pinchos, and arroz con pollo for weeks now(just watch 24/7 if you don't believe me). He wouldn't be eating like that if he was having problems with his weight. Besides, his fat ass friend has probably been eating up all the leftover food, and sneeking bites off Cotto's plate when he's not looking anyway.
I agree, was about to post the same thing. Cotto seems to be suffering making the weight....camp Pacquioa should rejoice... This content is protected
Check out photos 10 and 11 from todays event on that link. He does not look right. The guys face looks like the blood has been sucked out of him. He didnt look like that in 24/7 last episode. These arent the only photos where he looks "odd" (gaunt).
If the fight was at 147 and he looked exactly the same, we wouldn't see most of these threads. Too bad Cotto will not pull a Mayweather, I really wanted him to, less excuses if he is to lose (not from him, from other people).
But its not at 147 and hes probably going too far to ensure he is at 145 at weigh in and wont have to dehydrate to much to reach that. This is the biggest fight of his life and potentially a huge fine for each lb over 145. Hes definitely at a lower weight right now then if the fight was at 147 in my opinion.
We will see. Pac's fans will say everything is ok, while some of Cotto's fans will say he is ok, but deep down they are scared for their man. Pac knew what he was doing when he asked for the fight at 143, and got 145. Some posters say Cotto won't pull a Floyd, yet 2 pounds doesn't make a difference-except when it comes to Floyd. Hypocrites... Now the excuse is we hope Cotto does come in at 147 so there won't be any excuses. You same phony fans quickly forget that Cotto is trying to make 145 so that he does not have to shell out the extra loot for not making 145.
Im not anti-Cotto or pro Pac. But when I saw todays MGM Vegas photos I couldnt believe how bad Cottos face looked in most of the photos. When your not looking for anything and it just pops out to you that he looks so gaunt facially, something is not right there. I have followed Cotto's previous fights and cant remeber him looking like this.
When the eyes are large looking, and the face is drawn with big white teeth, usually this means that the weight loss was dramatic. James Toney had this look before he weighed in against Roy Jones...
Me either. I haven't seen him look like a ghost since he had to weigh in at at 140 during his final fights AT 140...
He looks perfectly healthy. It looks he just got his eyebrows plucked as well. His weight won't be a problem.
If he ends up being affected adversely by making the weight, Roach's smoke and mirrors act w/ Pac will continue.
