If Cotto has a problem with the weight, he shouldn't have made the fight, or he should just come in overweight and pay the fine. He had no problem blowing up to damn near 160 lbs. when he was at 140 and beating up on smaller guys. Now he's fighting a guy who was fighting at 130 lbs. a couple of years ago. I don't see the big deal.
He looks like he's aged a lot since Margo beat the hell out of him, he's gonna lose this fight no matter what, Paq is just to damn fast and unstoppable right now...
First off, we are all talking ONLY about how Cotto looks, and nobody is giving Cotto any excuses before the fight since they have not fought yet. Nobody is saying Pac looks like he is starving-we are saying Cotto looks this way...that's all. Cotto took the fight because of money, and the prestige that comes along with beating a top pfp fighter. If any of you question that logic, and weasily counter fans who say Cotto looks gaunt...that Cotto shouldn't have taken the fight, then you are ass for saying this. WE ALL know why Cotto took the fight. He was challenged by Pac who was sitting ringside watching Cotto-Clottey, and Pac saw that Cotto looks like he can be beat just like Sugar challenged Hagler thinking Hagler had lost a step. I don't give excuses before fights...I call it like it is after fights. I would've given PAc total props for this fight, and he will still gets props if he wins by me, but the catch weight thing was stupid to ask for when you are fighting a guy for his title at his weight. It was ass for Chavez to ask Whitaker to come down to 144, it was ass for Leonard to ask Lalonde to come to 168 to fight him, and it was ass for Roach to ask Cotto to drop to 145.
Yeah, and if PAc fights Floyd should he win, lets see if you use the word "imminent" then lol...:rofl
and it was an ass for floyd to ask JMM to come up to 144 and did an ass move again my coming in at 146.
He doesnt look so bad. Maybe they are just doing a quick unofficial trial weigh-in, a few days before the official weigh-in, and checking how easy or how hard it is for Cotto to cut weight.
