    How the fock is Cotto getting 22 million? Either Roc Nation has a lot of juice or Canelo just wants to get him in the ring at all costs.

    Think about this. Canelo has got 95 percent of his homies and Cotto has got 100 percent of his homies and 95 percent of everybody else.

    This! This right here! As for who's who, well, if I draw 75% of 7 million fans and my opponent draws 60% of 10 million fans, how is that a good measuring stick. People can be so ignorant and close minded. Obviously Canelo has a larger pool of fans to draw from based on the number of countrymen alone. Doesn't make him the a side, if Canelo had that belt, and Cotto or whoever wanted it, they'd have to concede to his demands. It's business folks, supply and demand. That simple.

    I don't doubt that they had to pay Cotto more money to make the fight in Vegas but these numbers still seem off.

    If they were splitting $28.5m, I'd expect it to be more like Cotto getting $18m to Canelo's $10.5m.

    It doesn't work that Cotto got more money than Sergio when he fought as challenger,DLH got more than Hopkins in2005 despite Hopkins holding 3 of the 4 belts. Cotto is the better draw.

    28.5mil for the fighters plus 28.5mil for the distributors = 57 mil.....plus promotions

    at $70, they would need to get about .9 to 1mil buy just to break even.
