    You think the only time marg used illegal wraps was the night he got caught trying to against mosley? C'mon.

    His whole testimony of lies along with his old trainer who is a pathetic liar too was just too ridiculous to even attempt to believe.

    Marg said the red dye on the wraps he used against cotto was from the gloves. The wraps confiscated in the dressing room that had traces of plaster of paris on them also had a red stain in the same spot. So how did the red stain occur BEFORE margarito had put a glove on?

    Mate, it's a never-ending circular argument that neither side has a definite answer to.

    Suffice to say, the commission didn't have enough evidence to be able to say without a doubt that he deliberately loaded his gloves, hence the suspension for using irregular wraps and not a lifetime ban for loading his gloves.

    Now there are 2 parts to that - 'deliberately' (i.e was there intent or even knowledge on Margarito's part) and 'loaded' (while the elements found in his wraps can be found in the chemical compound that makes up plaster of paris, they can also be found in hand cream and the likes).

    The commission could not prove that Margarito knowingly tried to load his gloves, nor could they prove his wraps were loaded with plaster of paris.

    As Kegsy mentioned earlier, Margo didn't have plaster of paris on his chin, and that's what allowed him to get in close and rip Cotto to the body, which caused Cotto to throw more in an attempt to keep Margo off him, which in turn caused Cotto to gas by the 6th.

    That first punch in the 6th (I think?) that Kellerman reacts to as being the turning point of the fight, Margo was hitting Cotto with those from the start of the fight, yet as soon as Cotto gassed and Margo's punches started taking their toll, it's apparently because his gloves were loaded, and, conveniently enough, according to Nazim Richardson, they were loaded with a substance that would harden as the fight wore on (and the hands inside the wraps sweated).

    Sorry, but Nazim also claimed 'blocks' fell out of Margo's wraps and hit the table with an audible sound, yet we've never seen a picture of it/them either.

    I think the matter was sensationalised a bit, which is why people go aorund claiming Margo had concrete in his gloves.

    Agree to disagree.

    I think marg is damaged goods and cotto will be the fresher of the two.

    True, if marg isnt as damaged and worn as i think he is, its close to a toss up.
    Be interesting to see how the ref/ doctor react to any injury suffered to margs eye....id assume they wont take a chance. Cotto tko might be worth a spec??

    I was thinking the same PJ.

    Terrific undercard also...im pumped to see Mike Jones in a step up with Lujan who is no joke...Wolak-Rodriguez 2 should be a WARR & Brandon Rios 1 of the most exciting fighters today who i expect him to look dominant as ever vs John Murray.
