Hi all, travelling businessman here, currently staying in Midtown West. Where's a good place to catch the big one this weekend? I've been to ESPN zone just off Times Square to watch other sports before and it was awesome but do they put on PPV shows? Basically, I'm looking for a big screen in a decent bar with plenty of bridge and tunnel girls.
I live in NY and I don't even know. So good luck to you if you find one. There are places that sometimes give the fights but they are local bars and these local bars don't do it consistently.
Im sure you can walk any "block" in the South Bronx that night and find a 73' inch TV on the sidewalk plus 50-60 Boricuas watching the fight. I dont think they will mind you joining them either as long as you are rooting for Cotto though because if not you will propably end up in bad shape LOL..... On the real though Im sure you can walk into any sports bar in the city and watch the fight that night. Try the Cigar Lounge at the Carlyle, its really nice in there...
**** it, if you cant find a place to watch it, just call Rumsfeld and come over his house Im sure he is going to have it on.... :yep
In the US go to joehandpromotions .com for bars In Canada go to canadastarboxing.com for bars showing the fight Cheers and enjoy!:hi:
What if I told them that I'm from England and a Ricky Hatton fan who believes that neither man would stand a chance against The Hitman and as such have no preferrence either way? Would that go down well with the brothas?
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3498966 http://fondaboricua.com/ There you go man...I've been there on several ocassions in the past in general, and you can't go wrong with some Good Food (Arroz con Pollo) and plenty of fine women. I know for a fact if you want a great atmosphere to watch the fight. That would be the place to go.
Thats right La Fonda Boricua its a great place to watch that fight man.... BTW....Them boys killed Bobby Flay on the Arroz Con Pollo Throwdown.....But my Moms would beat both of them though....lol...Sounded like a true son, nobody cooks better than Mom.... :good
I see your point but,,,,,,,,, Bazzoka papa a fight of this magintude needs to be watch in a fight atmosphere man, can you imagine yourself alone in a hotel room watching this fight with nobody to talk to?? I couldnt do it man....
Good to know that I'm not the only boxing fan that gets down with Bobby Flay's Throwdown (good show), and yeah they did their thing...Just like Cotto will Saturday Night. On a side note ...My Mom challenges your Mom to a THROWDOWN :yep :good
