Yeah that was the only thing Antonio had to worry about and he got it done. Digging to the body would have opened Cotto up to too much punishment from Margo.

Also I'm pretty supprised by howmany people think Cotto could win the rematch.

Waldo Klitschko clearly punched himself out against Ross Puritty.

Cotto clearly got punched out by Margarito. There is a clear distinction.

Yeah by the time he got KOed he couldn't lift his hands above his waist to protect himself. THe unfortunent thing is that I don't know what else would be different if he fought Margo again. Its not like Cotto's gonna take less punishment or be able to throw less punches in the rematch.

Thats why in I said enough stamina to last the whole 12 rounds boxing like he did in those first 6... Landing 50% each round while Margo is only landing like 20%? I don't even remember the last time seeing someone landing with that percentage.

Margo was clearly outboxed till Cotto began tiring at the end of the 6th, so if Cotto gets stamina to box like he did before he'll have the fight in the bag. Oh also if he banks some bodyshots on Margo it would be even better.

I give Cotto a shot in the rematch. He was the better boxer in the first 5 rounds. He has a shot eventhough Margarito is the obvious favorite. But he needs at least 6 months out the game.

Ok I'll put it in plain terms. Margarito's body shots from round 1-6 played an instrumental part in Cotto getting tired. As did the flush right hand that broke Cotto's nose in the second round.

I see there are no more "Cotto by KO" picks so far. :rofl

At least that lesson has been learned.

This poll is anonymous for a reason.

Most of the people picking Cotto wouldn't do so if their names could be seen.

    I'm not sure.

Anyways, the question in the rematch comes down to whether Cotto can keep up the brilliant boxing he achieved for the 1st six rounds for all 12 rounds? Second, can he also maintain his stamina? It will be interesting to see if he can pull it off a win second time around. But I think that Margo is still a nightmarish style for Cotto and he most likely wins the second fight.

    I picked Cotto

Yea the broken nose did effect the outcome but in my opinion the body shots didn't... Cotto just isn't used to boxing around the ropes and throwing 90 punches per round. O0 jsut remembered that I put my name in that Margo vs Cotto avatar bet, Let me get a link?

    That is ridiclious.

You think that body attack from round 1-10 made absolutely no difference whatsoever? Cotto just punched himself out? Hater.

Margarito was landing short uppercuts in, and landing hard body shots from the opening bell. He was getting hit with the more eye-catching shots, but Cotto was being systematically broken down.

Miguel Cotto became tired as a result of throwing to many punches for 10 rounds, moving around a lot, but most importantly, from having his nose broken, and being hit to the body with hard shots.
