All struggled with each other in world title fights in highly competitive nature, and all got dominated by Pacquiao. I think between the three of them in terms of rounds it was probabably 33 rounds to 3. Its not just that he beat these guys (he was a favorite in all three fights) its the manner in which he did it. Simply amazing. Whats more amazing is that above Super Featherweight, he has maybe lost 5 or 6 rounds at most. Im not ready to say hes the greatest fighter of all time, but I wont say hes not either. History will determine that, at least the popular consensus. all i know is that we have never seen a fighter like him in the history of the sport.

I remember the WW division was considered the deepest division 3-4 years ago because of these 3 guys and Pac was expected to struggle in the lightweight division

I wouldnt have put Margarito in the top three WW's at all, but even so, the way Pacquiao dominated him was nothing short of brilliant.

There's a reason why the welterweight division was considered stacked 3-4 years ago and not now.

Margarito has plaster 3-4 years ago.

Cotto was still in his prime 3-4 years ago, not having been ruined by Margarito.

Clottey was never good to begin with.

The welterweight division was also considered stacked because of Mosley, Williams, and Mayweather, 3 fighters who are arguable better than the above, none of which Pacquaio has faced.

Not saying that they aren't good wins, but must keep things in perspective.

When will the dickriding end?:-( Clottey is a bum. Cotto was damaged goods. True fukkin story. He was beat with plaster and never the same. Struggled with Clottey the bum. Margarito I'm sure just beat out Gatti for getting hit the most in the head. This was his 3rd shitty performance in a row. Freddie even said "I saw your last 2 fights".He did exactly what people knew he would do. Be a punching bag that walks into punches. Big surprise. So shocking.

You can make the same argument for Floyd vs. JMM and Mosley. Floyd claims JMM was p4p which sure, JMM was a p4p fighter when he fought Floyd, but what Floyd failed to mention was JMM was p4p when he's fighting at SFW-LW, not 144. Then Floyd wants the credit of beating Mosley when the same Mosley goes on and gasses vs. the legendary Mora. Cotto, Margo, and Clottey like it or not are still elite WW's. If it was Floyd beating them the *****s would be claiming he wiped out the WW division with the exception of Berto and Pacman. Stop crying.

I refuse to comment on the welterweight division until you can tell me the euro talents that I should be following and keep a close eye on.

Well, Clottey didn't fight. If Clottey fights, I favor him over Pac.

In case you didn't know Shane KO'ed Margarito you noob. He wasn't an elite WW unlike Cotto,Margo, and the "Imperial" Clottey? Stop hyping up fighters just because Manny fought them.

This forum refuses to give Euro-level professionals their proper due. I can name dozens of Euro-level athletes who would beat Pacquaio, Mayweather, Williams, and a number of highly-ranked American-level professionals, but it is futile to argue with the nationalistic posters on this forum. American promoters intentionally safeguard their fighters from the pure, European talent that exists within our borders, and by doing that, uphold the illusion of American dominance in the sport.
