i dont think cotto will knock him out.. if he can take clintrons punches and keep coming at him he wont have a problem with cotto as clintron hits much harder!

And won rounds 10 and 12 counter punching (or you say running). Margo gets hit wayyyy too much to last twelve rounds with Cotto. Getting hit by PW 500 times wore on Margo it will only take half that to do more damage from Cotto. One thing people aren't looking at is the fact that Margo, although he has a great chin does cut. Daniel Santos is a great example, as Margo was stopped due to a cut. Cotto has a nack for making guys look like they been through meat grinders. I believe by the end of this one Margo will look like a slow fighter that throws loopy long punches and people won't give Cotto the credit he deserves. Trust when I say Cintron is a piece of garbage with no heart and made Margo look great. Cintron would lose to Clottey, Quintana, PW, Mayweather, Cotto, Berto, Collazo, Mosley, Judah, Margarito, and the list goes on. Hell he would have a tough time beating Gomez who beat Felicano alot easier then Cintron himself did.

Cotto using the ring, establishing his jab to offset Margarito's volume and occasionally stepping inside his slower, looping punches and connecting with hard quick punches. Sort of like he did to Pinto.

Though I don't think it'll end like that.

Cotto using his superior boxing skills isn't considered running fool.:deal You have a lot to learn about the sport.

According to who???? Cintron's 27 KO's in 29 fights. have you seen the level of oppnents?? if Cotto had the same level of Oppnents Cotto would most likely have won every fight by KO. Honestly when Trainer Emanuel Stewart was asked if his fighter Cintron had a chance against a fighter like Cotto he replied any fighter has a punchers chance but the likely hood of it happening is not very good. When asked what he felt was Cintron's edge over Cotto he didn't see any. He also sighted that Cotto was a much harder puncher consistantly.

Different type of fighter. Cotto has one of those honed body attacks that can just eat guys up.. He sticks his punches with precision and power.. Cotto is fundamentally very sound, multi-dimensional type of fighter.. Not an easy riddle to solve in Cotto.. He can pick and chose when to go into countering aggressively, or box and retreat. Very good at maintaining the range he wants.. I think he's going to beat the crap out of Margo.. This will be both beautiful and painful to watch.

That's a good comparison in some ways. Cotto, like Trinidad has the boxing skills needed to outclass his sloppy, very aggressive opponent and the power to break him down over the course of the fight and make him gain a lot of respect for his power, even with a tough chin.

But Mayorga was a much more dangerous opponent than Margarito is. Much more punching power, much faster hands and quicker feet, a better chin, and much more unpredictable, wild style.

Cotto has reached another level with his last 2 fights ! He's developed into a quite complete package that can brawl or box very effectively.

    But....and there's a but...

Margarito will be the stronger and bigger man in there with a top notch beared. Therefore he could eventually tire out Cotto with his relentless pressure, throwing punches non stop. He will make Cotto fight the most extenuating fight of his career and if Cotto can withstand the pressure, I believe he will have reached yet again another level !

Cotto should win this fight but I will risk saying Margarito tires out Cotto in the 11th and scores a win with a TKO in a major upset !!

the one advantage Margo has is his height, he drains down to 147 the next day he balloons up to maybe 165 -168 at 5-11 thats a big advantage. Without the height edge this guy is very ordinary and in a few of his losses that was the difference, he did not have the luxury of a size advantage.

If Margo were 5'9 he would be blasted out of there in 4. Lots of pressure, big strong welter good chin, thats it. I think the question will be does Cotto have the strength, stamina and power to keep Margo from swarming him relentlessly cause if Margo has to box his way in he is done.

Cotto is the superior boxer but how he will he react when Margo bounces a wild one off his head? Margos Body will be right there for Cotto to dig his hooks by the same token so will Margos uppercut.

The key to everything is can Cotto physically hang with Margo? if Margo cannot impose his physicality then the boxing part of it is academic as Cotto is the faster and superior boxer. Tough call here but if I had to bet money I would have to go with Cotto thats the indication but it is by no means a sure thing. If Cotto blasts Margo out of there quick we may be witnessing one of the great real fighters today.

It's going to be a competitive fight, no doubt. Margo is more technical than mayorga, easy. Margo is less technical than Cotto, but has enough to make it competitive.

I can see Cotto winning but no way in hell does he stop Margarito.
    Too much of a chin.

Cotto will beat him to the punch all night and keep Margo off ballance with movement.

Margo has a punchers chance because of Cotto's suspect chin

I think Cotto will just beat him clearly. Margarito has never been with someone like Cotto, he is overrated and his resume is very poor.
