Cotto Margarito I--- BRICKS OR NO BRICKS??

Just loook at the injuries Cotto's faced suffered ..Instead of swelling Cheato cracked holes in his face ..Yeah I could see gloves doing that type of damage ..

 

I think he had been bricks that night. How long before that, only he knows that.

After the Cotto fight, based on that experience alone, his confidence in his power should've been through the roof... so why add bricks in his next fight? Doesn't make any sense. I understand that Cotto's trainer was there before the fight, but they've probably found a way to smuggle the plaster in a pretty inconsipicuous manner. I'm pretty sure they were confident that Nas wouldn't notice. I would think this act takes practice and experience, you wouldn't risk the status you've claimed with a trial run at something like this.

With such a commanding performance, it would make no sense to add plaster after that.

There is no denying any fact that Margarito's pads vs Mosley were illegal.


No one can explain why they were hard. Nor can they explain the white substance on both pads.

Both Castillo and Margarito say it was a knucklepad. Which goes over the knuckles when the hand is partially wrapped, then the knucklepad is placed and the hand is wrapped some more.
