Cotto: "Margarito Knew What Was In The Wraps"

Cottos right and for once Teddy is right and anyone who has had there hands wrapped knows there right!!!

 

add Cotto to the list of people who came out to say that there is no way Margarito didn't know that they were doing something illegal to his gloves...Teddy Atlas also came out on fnf fights and said it was basically impossible margarito didnt know what is in his gloves...

There is no way he didnt know, why?? because the boxer is always looking directly to his fists when they are doing the wraps

 

This is a incredible shame, because Margarito epitomised the "warrior" in boxing, as he has fought only the best - Williams, Cotto, Mosely, and even Clottey and Quintana. Why scupper a excellent name in boxing with something rdiculously stupid as what he and his team did?

Logically you have to ask yourself why would such a hard hitter "suddenly" get caught putting plaster in his handwraps!!!
then you come to the conclusion that he was doing it all along.

 

I'm not trying to pick a side until everything (including the investigation of the substance) is official. But the truth is we don't know what was going on there and Nazim Richardson didn't see the substance, he felt it, and then they found it. I'm not saying it's likely, but I think it is possible for Margarito to actually be unaware of what was being put in his gloves. Let's remember that some reports have said that even in sparring Marg may have been using this gloves, so for him they could have been absolutely normal. Many officials saw and witnessed the hand wrappings and like I said even Nazim had to touch them because he just thought Marg was putting too much tape on the skin, so we don't really know how discretely this was done.

 

The only way Margo wouldn't know is if the thing inside the gauze wasn't actually that hard.

Remember watching 24/7, esp. the ones with PBF involved? They went to great detail of how much the fighter pays attention to his own wraps, and why PBF hired (I can't remember dudes name, and hate to disrespect him as such, but) dude with all the button on his hat? Professional fighters KNOW whats up with thier wraps.

My guess on the sparring, is that even when practicing, you want EVERY THING to feel exactly the same all the time, so on fight night you don't be in there thinkin: "some thing is different?" and in that split second get whapped in the face.

 

Nazim isn't enough, and neither is the cynical ****ers at ESB. I'm going to wait.

 

Look you are probably mexican and proud of it and you should, but your man is only human. We all make mistakes ok. I was pissed when they said that Tito tried to cheat, but now the way I see it, I wouldn't if it was me and he isn't the only name that came out puerto rico, so I can live with that.
