Travis lane played for the kings, go ask him about mundines potential as a basketballer.mundine was as good as him without coaching:lol:

    :good

I made reference to a simpson's episode and it really got to him for some strange reason so I use it as his nickname.

Why are you posting in yet another mundine thread then?

    PP,

    I cringed - again.

Cricket is not exactly an athletic sport :patsch.

Mundine is an incredible athlete, you can't deny that.

Flamengo and Leon pretend to be big time boxing writers so surely they would win that title.

They do and they did in the press conference....most of them said it more than time for choc to step up.

Mundine's free ride in the press has just about come to an end.

With the reemergence of Green and with Vic & Kats' local profiles growing, the media has finally started to question Mundine's motives, and clearly not before time.

Yes, the media occasionally said he should step-up before. But they are starting to call it as they see it, or just plain ignore him now.

It's been an excellent snow-job by team Mundine so far in deflecting attention away from his upcoming bout with more pie-in-the-sky name dropping.

However, once that (bull)dust settles we'll just be left Mundine v #103 Miranda, and there's not a single positive to be found in this particular match-up.

...ever the optimist in all matters Mundine Ash.

Listened in to Flash's interview last night, and most of what they discussed (ie his career stuff) was great listening - well done all concerned.

But when he briefly touched on Mundine's upcoming opponent and it went along the lines of: 'and he's fought everyone', 'blah, blah, blah'.

...and I'm thinkin', Flash spare us the bull**** mate!

Miranda is a carefully chosen, game but chinny, blown-up welter with a very ordinary record (see BoxRec shortcut for confirmation), and a world ranking of #103 that reflects it.

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=209882&cat=boxer

Yes, they could have chosen a worse opponent Ash, but not much worse.

Truly an embarrassing match-up, and one anyone with any respect for their hard-earned should steer well clear of.

In the Melbourne media it was very noticeable straight after Green beat Roy that Mundine had become somewhat old news. Rightly or wrongly, Green has since received much more coverage and better write-ups than has Mundine.

....again, that's the Melbourne media, not sure about elsewhere.

Here's the thread you should be posting on mate - see short-cut below.

It's called 'The Greatest Athletes to have Boxed'

.....oh, and good luck, because they'll come back with:

    'Anthony who?'
