lots of fights have been made via catchweight. wasn't martinez-williams and berto-ortiz was also at catchweight? weight is just a random number and if both fighters agrees with it, then why not?

also would this be for cotto's light middle title?

 

I think the only fights that can be accepted as catchweight fights is if one guy is in a division below the other guy, for example martinez vs bute catchweight 165, something like that I have no problem with but in this case the fight should take place at 154, cotto vs martinez 157 is a reasonable catchweight if that ever happened, but you always get more credit if you beat the guy straight up in his division.
