This will all depend on Cotto's performance in his next fight, if he fights as he always does and impresses then he will always have a chance.

 

Obviously Cotto has watched the tape and determined he feels he can make the nescessary adjustments.

 

It say there that both Margo and Cotto are fighting in early 2009. if all goes in their favor we might get the rematch in June.

I wanna see how Cotto looks, see if that loss made him stronger or really broke him. I think Margarito will do the same thing, just with more confidence, knowing he could take Cottos' shots. So it's really up to Team Cotto to come up with a better fight plan.

 

I have the tape aswell and after seeing it a billion times in High Def theres nothing that Cotto did wrong that changed the momentum of the fight he fought a perfect fight. I think its plain and simple Cotto cannot hurt Margarito but Margo can. Only way I can think of that Cotto can win is by having better endurance than Margarito which is impossible if you watched the countdown to the fight margaritos trainer insists that Margo trains basically just on endurance and has for the longest.

I wouldn't say that Cotto fought a perfect fight, at all. Just because he landed some flashy looking combos and was outscoring Margarito alot of the time doesn't mean Cotto was being effective. Cotto could have fought a dramatically better fight. That's what watching the tapes eludes to.

 

He did not fight a perfect fight. If he would've clinched more and tried to get out of the ropes a lot more, then I would've said tht he fought the perfect fight, but he didn't so I wanna see him make these adjustments.

 

Cotto was far from perfect. he will retool and come back with more endurance and leave victorious. can you say trilogy?
