How many times this round did Lampley talk about Cotto? If anyone has time on their hands when watching the replay let me know. Cotto was hurt and he was still kissing his ass
If I do save a replay of this fight it won't be the HBO broadcast. I can't stand those crooked ****s sometimes.
I have always said, that whenever there is a really close fight on HBO, whoever the comentators like... usually wins. Max Kellerman is great, and I know alot of people were dissing him and pissed when he replaced Larry Merchant (casue lets face it... a character like that cannot be replaced) but he really does a great job and talks to truth.
Lampley and co. are just following orders. I don't blame them. It's the HBO Boxing brass that wants all the propoganda. It's so obvious it's become embarrassing. But they feel it's nescessary to protect their investments. Boxing isn't exactly outrageously lucrative these days. I'd rather have the HBO hype than no HBO Boxing. If things got any worse they could dump the sport. What's to stop them? Business is business. They feel like they can do what they want it with it. Maintaining a suffering enterprise is like charity work to TV executives. But I agree with everything being said here. It bothers me as well, I can't deny that.
I would agree with this but just not for this fight. They usually do dick ride the fighter HBO tells them to. But Lampley was about to cry like cotto was his husband or some ****. Pathetic
