Cotto Margarito Scoring

I gave Marg 3 n 7.. That's it.

 

I gave Margarito the 3rd and one of the later rounds. I forget which, I mainly score in my head. I thought Margarito got the better of the epic exchanges in the 3rd (at the time... gawd I want to rewatch this fight again). The other one was probably a Cotto breather.

 

I had it 9-0, although there were a few close rounds that could've went to Tony.

I though Margo fought courageously and I hated the stoppage. That being said Cotto did a masterful job boxing Margo, pivoting, staying off the ropes and tying up Margo. Margo is a terror in the pressure department and he's also a lot larger than most welters and Cotto for his size fought him in a style that would earn him a W. Excellent win for Cotto and valiant try for Margo.

I agree. He needs to watch it again to see that Cotto took the third as well.

Seriously though, I just can't see anyone giving Margarito more than two rounds; even two rounds is super generous.

We all knew that Slugger wouldn't accept a loss, he is in love with Margy. But it was a pretty damn one sided fight. Margarito got his ass handed to him.
