Over at scene of boxing :good:hey

Miguel Cotto said that if Margarito is banned in the US, then he should respect that ban and not fight anywhere & doesnt agree with Arum that Margarito should fight in Mexico.

Arum said he respected that but will still put on a fight for him in Mexico......

I dont get why Arum backs up Margarito so much but never does Cotto.... he acts like he could care less if Cotto fought Margarito with loaded gloves....

Arum is fed up with CSAC because he believes there was no evidence of any wrongdoing. But the banishment was based on different testimonies all stating that the substance they found was illegal and hard.

Arum is all about money, and he doesn't want to lose the premier Mexican PPV star. If he can play the 'Margarito is punished innocently' card, he can even use this situation as a free advertisement. Losing the licence in the USA doesn't mean Tony can't appear on a US PPV.

Don't get me wrong, it's cool he's supporting his guy, but he didn't even bother to make a public apology himself for something that happened in HIS promotional company.

If this happens, I see Cotto leaving Arum very soon.

Cotto should leave Arum. He's a POS who values money over fighter's safety.

There is an article posted on another website where one of the scribes said he attended the hearing yesterday. He said that as of now there is no exact specifics about the foreign substance.

His exact statement about the pads, "One of the actual knuckle pads used by Capetillo on Margarito’s hands was on a table 10 feet away from me. I walked over to the table and asked the deputy district attorney Chappelle to feel the knuckle pad exhibit and object of the hearing. I felt the knuckle pad that was placed in a plastic zip wrap a good 15 seconds and realized that it felt soft. Maybe a little old and soft, but not hard as I expected. It felt like old gauze. One of the doctors told me that when it is moistened it would get harder."

So Arum is outrage because he feels as though there is no conclusive evidence, as of now, on what exactly Marg had on his gloves, or even if he had any part in the wrong doing.

I just think that comment is interesting, and if true, Arum is in the right to be pissed.

Others will come out soon. If he in fact fights in Mexico and totallly ignores what just happened and his punishment in Cali, he will be disrespecting the Cali, the sport, and more importantly, the fans. Take your punishment like a man and just train to stay in shape.

I used to be a big fan of his and if he respects the suspension and manages to comeback strong, I'll still root for him.

It's funny because I think this happened at the right time, before somebody got seriously hurt. (I expect Cotto to comeback stronger)

And IMO, he also needs some time off, he was in great danger of getting hurt himself from getting hit that much.

Take time off from getting pounded and stay in shape.

Just curious, when you say scribe, you mean news reporter? If that is what he is, then he is possibly full of it and is trying to get a story. Media is one of the worst liars and exagerators in life. Arum has a right to be mad? He cares nothing about Margarito. He is thinking how much money he is losing by having Margarito on a shelve while others are trying to make deals at WW. Simply, we are going to hear tons of differents stories. It is all hearsay.

Your right, Cotto will come back stronger and I feel sorry for Jennings. Why? Cotto is possibly thinking he most definitely got that beating due to loaded gloves and now his confidence is through the roof. I could be wrong, but usually it is all mental with a beating like that, but now he will ignore that lost and feel that he is still undefeated.

Margo is and was always a nobody other than that I agree with mostly everything else, Arum is clearly a POS, I'm sure he paid Margo's trainer to take the fall single handedly, btw I read that if Arum does do this that he will be putting his own licence harms way as the CSAC will take action against him as well.

Yeah some writer from some website, "$##$$ science." I agree about the media statement you made.

Well Arum has the right to be mad, not because he cares about him, but because that's his big payday being denied.

Remember the best way to hurt someone is through their wallet, and like I said, if that is a true story than I see why he is mad.

I really like that saying. Hurt someone through their wallet. I can punch someone in the face and still loose due to civil actions. I hope Cali goes after Arum if he does go through with putting on a fight in Mexico with Margarito. It won't stop him from making money though due to his minions that will stand in for him for future fights.

Arum is really hurting right now because he was counting on having that Cotto/Marg rematch. That would have made him tremendous numbers but now he is ****ed.

He is just being greedy cause I don't see him suffering through this economy like some of us are.

Cotto gave a good account of himself in the interview.
