Cotto-Margarito: Thoughts on Each Fighter's Expressed Confidence on Victory

    Pretty much, this thread is devoted to analyzing Cotto and Margarito's confidence coming into this fight. So much news and interviews have been made on what each man is thinking as they bout in 9 days. So, who do you think is more confident at this point and why?

    I would say that Team Margarito is more confident than Team Cotto, but you can never say for sure. Evangelista said something like "..Miguel is looking strong, now we'll see if we can bring that into the ring on the 26th.." It doesn't sound overly optimistic. And you have Margarito saying that this will not be his toughest fight, and Cotto saying this is definately his toughest fight just yesterday or today in the reports. So I would say that Team Margarito is more confident at this stage.

    I think Cotto's confidence is the stronger cuz he is training hard but talking less. Marg is making some sweeping statements and has even aknowledged Cotto's technical superiority. Marg is gonna try to intimidate Cotto out of his gameplan. But I think Cotto wins the pschylogical war.
