Well it's big fight day! for many of the inhabitants of this board...yet I've seen far more advertising for Cotto-Martinez than Froch-Groves II over here in America...and the former's barely being advertised...

Accept it and move on...it's only a big fight over there....Froch and Groves put the B in B Level...as in British Level...

They can't carry Ward's spit bucket inside that squared circle.

Asses in seats mean nothing....they are merely asses, in seats...

Froch/Groves has more legitimacy to it than Cotto Martinez. Martinez apparently can't even walk straight these days due to injury and Cotto was a small JMW. At middleweight he'll be a manlet.

So you think advertising matters more than number of people watching the actual fight?

    Whoops.

I don't see why this has turned this into a USA vs England issue. They're both great fights with a lot of importance to the divisions. Which fight is bigger is subjective based on what part of the world you're from.

It's not as much as what the titles mean to boxing at the moment but who's the man at the division to set the lines for the immediate future. I am a little bit puzzled here and I better share that with you - Martinez loses a colossal upset and the middleweight division is in chaos again and ready to be taken by the most succesful multi-division welterweight Champions such as Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio right in their next fight. Froch loses clearly and we have a player to fight the top dogs at SMW such as Ward or even GGG or JCC Jr. If Martinez wins at ease and Froch repeats his win then it's all about how they won- Sergio KTFO Cotto and Floyd steps up and we have a multi-million dólar showdown. Froch sends Groves to the side entrance of Wembley and he is a force to be reckoned with by the LHWts and Ward and GGG and whoever who puts Money on the table, Kessler included for a rubber match.

What a tart you are Skullsplitter.

    "Asses in seats mean nothing"

Need I say anymore. Go and sit in a corner and think about what you just posted.

When is Andre Ward's next $16m purse fight?

There's no definitive answer to this, both are big fights.

Overall Martinez and Cotto are bigger names, in my opinion, than Froch and Groves as Groves is relatively unproven.
On the other hand Froch and Groves have history and a controversial stoppage and obvisouly the fight is huge in the UK.
It all depends on the parameters you choose to focus on.

In the end I don't really buy into celebrating fights as being this or that before they have even taken place. When both bouts are over we'll know which one of the best.

Both big fights, big boxing occasions. The statement is false.

You need to be a bit weird to make it, too.
