Both fights are equally important for their respective weight classes. Being based in England and having purchased tickets to the fight, I was more excited for Froch vs Groves than Cotto vs Martinez.

 

Of course Cotto-Seksy is more important. What kind of a brittard claims it isn't? Both fighters resumes are as good or better than Carls, its for the lineal title, and Martinez is the legit #1 in his division.
Carl is #2 in his class and Groovy,s biggest previous accomplishment was losing to Carl Froch.

Froch Goves filled up Wembly and was a huge draw and that's great. It was still just a local scrap though. If 100,000 Irishmen gather to watch a kimg of the travellers bare knuckle fcuk fest, its still a f uk fest no matter how many people show up.

 

Cotto/Martinez doesn't make ANY sense at all.

Cotto/Canelo and Martinez/GGG are the only fights that matter to both men.

Cotto/Martinez really isn't relevant at all. The only reason there's a question mark around it is because we don't know just how damaged/injured Martinez is. Otherwise it's a bull**** fight.

 

As a boxing event, Groves-Froch II was bigger, but Cotto-Martinez carries more weight. It's the more important fight.
