Cotto-Martinez ? Poll

Don't be surprised if Cotto throws right crosses in two's and three's...

I think he will throw a right with a feint for a left body hook and follow through with a few more rights in a row.
Cotto has worked on maintaining a higher guard unlike Martinez.
Also, Cotto has prepared for counters for the uppercut and straight left
to the mid-section that Martinez has worked on

In regards to stamina he is prepared for 12 full hard fought rounds...

He is not as bulkiy as many are making him out to be that he will be slower.....he is only filled in and well hydrated as he didn't have to focus on losing any weight!!!

He didn't gas in the Mayorga fight and KO'd the ******* in the last round with a left hook....

Expect a much more conditioned Cotto in this fight.....

Martinez via ko/tko is +280. That has to be one of the most enticing lines I have ever seen.

I see Cotto easily outboxing Martinez early on, taking advantage of Sergio's lack of mobility. Then at some point in the mid rounds, i see Sergio ditching the plan to box and just walking Cotto down. As good as Cotto is as a boxer, he has always been hittable. And I see Sergio eventually getting to him and getting the ko.

Martinez to stop him late, i hate to say it Cotto is my favorite fighter but he's past it now imo, size also matters weighing in at 155 is not a good idea in my view Martinez has been injured and isn't what he once was either but he'll have plenty left to beat Cotto i feel.

I'm a big fan of both and always cheer them on whoever they fight against, but if I am being reasonable, I have to say Martinez will win a decision by just moving and being busier.
