now the fight is done and dusted.....

I think some of you "experts" need to look back at this fight and realise that, no matter how much you think you know about our wonderful sport.....you still dont know **** about boxing:deal:rofl:thumbsup

Its hard not throw jabs at this point in time but the denial is insane...in many ways a younger, fresher version of Martinez might of been caught with something even more devestating because of his style allows a fighter like Cotto to capitalize via counter hooks...its all about styles and how they mesh in the ring. Notice how I don't deny Martinez was a bit depreciated however that does not push aside Cotto's ability to execute on the bigger, faster apparently stronger man during pocket exchanges.

Roach said it all when he said Martinez was a great athlete, but not a great boxer. Martinez was still a dangerous puncher, who can forget his KO win over Paul Williams! Cotto had all the answers to the puzzle that was Sergie. Bad kbee or not, I think Cotto would of got the job done one way or another:deal:thumbsup

when coaches talk about how they have been doing with the teaching of thier fighters, people should just listen. Roach has a great relationship with certain fighters along the way. All Cotto has needed is a "basics first" kind of coach who takes the time to work on his strength and weaknesses. Cotto is in good hands finally. Id like to see him rematch Trout to show what a huge difference Roach has been to him, as the proof is in the pudding, as they say :good
