Until last night I thought Martinez would destroy Cotto. Cotto was just so good last night. Dominated Martinez in one of the best performances I have ever seen. I went back and rewatched Martinez Williams I to get a feel for the older version of Martinez... Could any version of Martinez beat Cotto?
Martinez (2009-2012) would have put Cotto on a stretcher. Cotto would look worst than Dzin. Yesterday's Martinez was just a shell of his former self. It's still a decent win but anybody with a brain knows that it was the worst version of Martinez in the last 5 years. He was pretty much on 1 leg for the entire fight. Respect to Cotto for being a 4 weight champion, lineal at 154 (ex) and now lineal at 160. But the win is tainted, it's not a HOF/ATG level win.
