A lot of people on here I've seen have said that cotto shouldnt take on a rematch with Margs cause he'll die. i mean come on folks it was a competetive fight up until the 10th, 11th rounds and cotto never was really Knocked out cold or anything, he just had his eye messed up and had nothing left in the tank due to Margaritos last body shot. I think a rematch would still be competetive but probably Margarito winning another close FOTY candidate fight.

If you noticed, Margarito was showing some respect for Cotto early in the fight and may have started a little slow(his corner kept telling him to be carefull early on, maybe that was the reason) but even so, he started hurting Cotto to the body as early as the second round.

I'm guessing Margo would come out guns blazing form round 1 of the rematch, knowing very well that there's nothing Cotto can do to stop him.

he took a lot of big shots in the last few rounds when Margarito was really coming on but he was still fighting back off the ropes with 3-4 hard punch combinations and was close on the judges scorecards going into the 11th

I think he took a worst beating than Cintron because of the simple fact he stayed in there longer than Cintron

Yeah I would imagine that as well but Cotto is always a dangerous fighter, I think he lost a lot of his desire to try and really go after margarito as the fight went on , he kept retreating to the ropes after margarito would cut off the ring and go to the body, but Cotto is always been a fighter that really adapts to a new style or finds a way to beat his opponent who knows if he could find a way to neutralize Margaritos body assault and constant in your face style

    He certainly did:deal

Cintron got off easy with some body punches.

Check out Cotto at the end of the fight!

The last few rounds he did take a bad beating. I'd like to see how he bounces back from this.

He knows what Cotto brings to the table now in terms of punching power. He's going to go full bore right at Cotto next time around and try to hurt him early. Once he does that the fight will be over. Plus he holds a tremendous psychological edge now that he has stopped him and took Cotto's best without so much as blinking.

Cotto should face a tuneup then pick up another belt if he is serious about another brutal rematch.

Blood always looks more dramatic than it is. Cintron was crushed quickly whereas Cotto just got beaten late. Either way it's semantic, it seems some of the rubberneckers on here are taking far too much pleasure over someone they think got "a beating". It makes you question whether they are watching boxing for the right reasons.

I'm guessing most ppl who don't want to see a rematch are Margarito fans because as things stand right now their boy has the upper hand.
