In the 90's didn't King put Trinidad, Chavez and Tyson on the same card once?

King always used to put on the best shows, and pay the best money.

A lot of stuff is said about him but the problem is that a lot of these fighters fancied themselves as businessmen, when they ought to have had someone else looking after their affairs.

Arum puts on the best shows because he's got the best stable, and knows when to let a fighter off the leash or give him an easier fight for a change...... you see far fewer Arum fighters carrying the ''American hypejob'' or ''Haha.... exposed'' tags - certainly compared with Golden Boy, who seem to suffer an exposure on almost every major bill they put on.

There is no denying that King used to put on the best shows it was almost standard for him to have 3-4 world title fights per show he has definitely fallen of a bit.

The tendency by Arum and other promoters such as Warren to stack shows now is as a result of the economic climate and the current state of boxing. King was doing bumper shows at the height of its power.

I can't wait for Zappa-Vasquez. Hopefully Zappa wins and we get to see Zappa-Katsidis... what a fight that would be. :yep

Vasquez-Zappa is a great fight to have on an undercard, cant wait for that. Vasquez looks to me like he could be come a real solid champion, really good all-rounder, and Zappa is as exciting as they come. Never thought he'd stop Kim in 1.

I had thought that GBP promotions had put on the best cards for the last year or so though. They had Pirog/Jacobs on another couple of good fights on 1 card. And Mayweather/JMM was pretty stacked IIRC.

Can't remember any good Top Rank cards recently, not off the top of my head anyway
