Someone count the number of belts in boxing today................then post the number...........................I think is will make most fans faint!
Counting just the Big 5 and assuming they have 3.5 world level belts each (Regular, Interim, International/Intercontinental and about half having Super or Diamond and Silver) thats 17.5 World champions right there. IBO IBA IBC IBF NBA GBC GBU GBO (who's belt looks like one of the shitty toys Charlie Zelenoff was running around with) WPBF WAA WBF WBO WBB WBC TWBA TWA Which is 16 and saying each has 2.5 world belt spots(most of these smaller ones don't have all the **** the bigger ones do.) that leaves us with 40 world champions per divison and across all divisions(17) that would have potentially 680 world boxing champions. or 697 if you include the Ring.
You know what? I value the WBC Diamond Belt more then the normal one nowadays. :deal Lets see Sergio has one, Mayweather will now if he beats Cotto. Yea maybe they're slowly making it into the WBA's Super title.
lol at wbc trying to stick its **** stained nose in to make a couple of bux. I'd tell em to **** off if I was Floyd or Cotto(e). They have nothing to do with this fight.
^ yeah with the fight being at 154, Floyd obviously can't put his WBC welterweight title on the line so the WBC finds a way to stick their nose into the fold didn't Alvarez say he only took the undercard spot on the May 5th card because he was guaranteed Mayweather as his next fight **but Floyd calls his own shots and will fight whoever brings in the most $$
I think Alvarez is too big for Floyd personally, I know Miguels 154lbs but obviously he was a 140lber once, Alvarez is a big jr middle I just dont see this fight going down..
I don't care what Alvarez says. Listenting to the comments from Mayweather and Alvarez's team, it doesn't seem as though either side is interested in making that fight next.
i think that was the WBB belt (world boxing board) it looked like a giant superbowl ring This content is protected
Bling Bling? I disagree on the Alvarez bit, I could think of several reasons why they'd want a fight vs Mayweather. but again just because Alvarez and his team want Mayweather, doesn't mean the interest is mutual though Alvarez does have a title, and a very big Mexican following so if Canelo really impresses vs Mosley, that could up the public demand enough to where a Mayweather fight could realistically happen **Canelo might not be the BEST option for Floyd's next fight (depending on when that is) but Canelo is an undefeated Champion who can draw, I don't think he should be completely written off as a potential opponent
