Just saw the mayweather hatton fight and it played out exactly like many people thought. except some delusional brits but whatever.

I think it is safe to say that Mayweather can handle the typical pressure/puncher fighter as so many of his fights have been against these type of people, and these fighters never do well against him. For this reason, I think mayweather would probably murk cotto or atleast decision him comfortably (handspeed, movement, counterpunching is far too superior). SO, in my eyes it would be the best decision for mayweather to prove himself by fighting another elite boxer, say vernon forest.

I'm still giving credit to mayweather for his wins, but it would be nice to see him against a guy with skills as good as he. I have a firm belief that forest could outbox mayweather and frustrate him like never before.

Cotto doesn't interest me at this point in a mayweather fight,it would be nice to see him fight someone like williams or forest.

I don't think Vernon Forest could outbox the perfect boxer. Plainly and simply, Mayweather is just unbeatable at this point. The top tier contenders' fans all say that their guy has the tools, skills, heart, or whatever superlative you can think of to beat Floyd but I don't agree. I won't believe it till I see it. He's pound for pound the king of the boxing universe.

Why should he fight forrest. When he beats forrest you gon say some bull**** like Forrest was too old and past his prime. When he beats Williams you gon say Williams was not ready yet. Skip the bull****. After he beats Cotto he should retire and stay retired.

    :rofl

Forrest is almost 37 years old. Who did he beat recently? Baldomir.

If Floyd fights somebody at 154, it must be Spinks. 154 is crap currently.

This would happen if Fighter like Cotto and hatton practice there craft and stop ballooning up between fights.

But Floyd should have unified at 147. He had the IBF belt when he fought Baldomir for the WBC belt.

Same happened when he fought Corrales.

i think he dropped the IBF because they ordered a rematch with Judah so he dumped it... but i dont think floyd wants to pay the sanction fees so he'll never unify....i think each belt you have takes a % of your purse and with as much money as he makes that would be a huge percentage
