I've just come off my computer, I'm on my phone at the minute. I will make a gif later and highlight the wobble in his leg, and the not so smooth movement going back in to his stance. I'll look at the right hand Mayweather caught Cotto with, but Cotto was stunned a couple of times throughout. That was not my argument.

Obviously a lot closer fight then the cards suggest. Scores were disrespectful to Cotto too and another shame for boxing.
Cotto definitely deserved 3 to 4 rounds.

 

In a boxing term stunned is probaly not the best term to describe this....i think Floyd was shocked it landed because it came out of nowhere....i do not think he was stunned meaning hurt at any level.

You score on scoring criteria and Cotto won 2-3 rds., period. This is the problem with scoring in general. Everyone thinks they're an expert and take it too personal.

Anyone who gave Cotto a round in the first 5 shouldn't be scoring fights. I see an argument for giving Cotto 3 rounds but 4 is out of the question. Just wait for the replay this Saturday and you guys will see 117-111 is a very realistic score card. Even ledermans crazy ass scored it that way and he gave Cotto round 5. I think the hate blinds some of you.

 

Exactly, it's like not a bunch of, Pro-Mayweather *****s were scoring this fight. It was a good fight, competitive because it was a close quarters battle and got a couple of jabs in, but that don't mean the scores are close.

 

115-113 Mayweather. This fight was competitive and had a lot of swing rounds. For that reason alone is why we are all posting threads like this and debating it. Yahoo had it 115-113 as well and there are many others who had it close too. I gave Mayweather the last 2 rounds and that clearly won him the fight.

Its fine to say "I only gave Cotto 2 rounds" and a wide scorecard. But its also fine to say 115-113 or 116-112, because there was ultra compettive rounds fought at an elite level. Haters just need to deal with the fact that Mayweather did not blow Cotto away as they all expected.
