Just read on ESB about the possibility of Mayweather returning to fight Cotto if he's still undefeated this time next year. No, no, no. Look, Mayweather is rich as hell, he doesn't need any more money from boxing. If he doesn't want another 6 Million to fight De La Hoya again, why would he want significantly less to fight Cotto? As long as Cotto isn't breaking box-office records (as La Batalla is NOT doing) Mayweather can always stick to what he's said before about not wanting boxing to retire him and about Cotto not being a PPV fighter. It would be the best possible fight that could happen, but lets face reality, it never will. (PS: I did not intend to seem certain that Cotto will beat Margarito)
But Mayweather has an enormous ego and has been boxing since he was a child. Don't you think he'll get bored and miss the limelight? Most fighters that retire fairly early, do. Then they come back.
Yes, Floyd will miss the limelight...Resulting in more dancing with the stars appearances, more wrestling and a reality tv show. He will amuse himself, don't worry.

that does make sense.... if he turned down another career high payday with oscar to retire.... i dont see him coming back for less money against cotto. But who knows... maybe Cottos attention if he beats margarito, and the fact that he wont be living it down that he didnt fight him will start to eat at him... you never know.

Floyd painted himself into a corner and will have a hard time getting himself out of it. I doubt he will want to fight Cotto(or Marg) for less than he made against DLH. ANd if Cotto were to very convincingly defeat Margarito,......forget about it. Floyd might go as far as throw out a face-saving phoney challenge to the winner of Cotto/Marg but I can guarantee you all that any such fight would never come to fruition due to his ridiculous demands:deal

The winner will for sure take a stab at Floyd in the post fight interview, and if its Tony, My gosh he is the man who IMO would get under Floyds skin with his words, Cotto is more of a soft toned cat who doesnt really trash talk at all, but imagine what Margarito will say about Floyd after he wins.
