    Guys lets be objective,look at the evidence then make judgement.

    Lets look at Cotto's career,he has been in wars and has had to dig deep even against mediocre opponents.He beat them but most of his fights were very competitive.Some people say he had to did deep.Even though he always prevailed there would always be a scare somewhere.

    Look at even the Judah fight,Cotto had to hit the balls so many times for him not to be taken out within the first 3 rounds.Lets look at Mosley,the decision itself is controversial.Check Ndou and all the other guys one after the other apart from Gomez,he is the only one Cotto completely outclassed.

    On the other hand Floyd outclassed all his opponents except the first Castillo fight.You can all tell the difference in Floyd's victories,everyone was well beaten in some cases Floyd was winning all the rounds.Floyd has never had to dig deep before,he has a boxing brain and very good reflexes.

    So where is the comparison between Floyd and Cotto.Why would Arum say rubbish like Floyd ran away from Cotto,in the first place who has Cotto beaten?

    Much respect for Cotto's heart and services to the sport but why call an ox drawn carriage a rocket?

    Cotto would still give Mayweather a hard time.

    :hat When Mayweather fights you always know who is going to win. You just wonder if someone can make it close or sometimes just wonder if somone can land a good flush shot in 12 rounds on the guy. He is one of the ATG of the sport and they don't come along very often so I hoped you enjoyed because I did. Cotto is just a real good fighter not elite or all time great but really good.

    oh another floyd dicksucking thread. when you get off his nuts, ask yourself who has floyd fought that would beat cotto? No one.
    floyd retired so he could cherry pick his opponents; he did it before hatton to avoid moseley/cotto/margarito, and he'll do it again. floyd's damn good, but not better than the fighters he ducked

    Comparing Cotto's defeat to Margarito to how he would fair against Mayweather is pretty ridiculous. Styles matter more than class here. Cotto would be more comfortable fighting Mayweather because he can fight his own fight. He wasn't allowed to do that against Margarito.

    Floyd wanted to fight Cotto before Gatti-what did Arum say?Cotto is not ready.
    Floyd wanted Mosley when Mosley was pound for pound to guy ,-what did Mosley say-no
    Margaritto was just a nobody and by then Floyd had issues with Arum.In case you forget Arum owes Floyd money up to now.Its like Warren offering Calzaghe a fight with one of his fighers,do you think that will be a genuine fight?

    Floyd is the most defensive fighter out there.No brawler can beat Floyd,as for Cotto he has zero chance of fighting Floyd.He was just an overhyped fighter.I can bet Ricky Hatton is better than Cotto

    Arum sure is a funny guy. Arum himself said ( when Floyd was still with him ) that Mayweather is the best boxer of the last 40 years ( yea, thats a bit too much ), but how can he say now that Cotto would beat the best fighter of the last 40 years:huh

    Arum is just bitter. Cotto would get smoked.

    Let me put it this way, had the history of this great sport been filled with nothing but Mayweather-like fighters, it would have ranked up along the likes of ****in' tennis or golf in terms of bordem level.
