Cotto needs an elite trainer! who is avaliable that you would reccomend?

roach. cotto's already got above average boxing skills, i dont think steward can do anything in that regard.

 

I hear Margarito's trainer is free.

 

Floyd sr is overrated, Unca Roger is the best trainer in the mayweather family.

 

I've been saying this forever now, Mustafa Muhammad can make cotto into the perfect boxer-puncher.

 

Not sure if he's available but Nacho would be my first choice.
Cotto's an excellent, methodical boxer but I think Nacho could refine him even more and help him realise his full potential.
I think he did a fantastic job with Rafa, and Cotto is already better than he was when Nacho got a hold of him.

What qualifies Atlas to train anyone, especially Cotto? He was failure as trainer, but as broadcaster has hoodwinked people into thinking he was, or is, a great trainer. He never trained Tyson, just worked pads with him under D'amato's supervision, and was allowed to work Tyson's corner for a copule of junior amateur bouts.

Atlas claims he worked with 17 world champs. The details show how deceptive that claim is.


Cotto is doing fine, if they get someone, get someone with proven track record, and ability work corner of a major fight.

 

Our main issue with Cotto is that he takes too many uppercuts and straight right hands.
