If this happens, then Floyd should fight Mosley in the meantime and the winners fight eachother, a 147 tournament to fight out whose KING!! That is unless Clottey beats Cotto then we can shoot that idea down.

Arum wants Cotto weakened for this fight if he were to make it, he wants it at a catchweight of 144. It's the master plan of Arum. Arum doesn't like Cotto and Cotto now realizes Top Rank and Arum are not good people for him and doesn't like them, locking him out of mega fights and working behind his back purposefully. If you don't believe me, you don't see the evidence. Arum has never given Cotto a big payday fight, never given him superfights to become a huge star, he's given him nothing. Yet Cotto has fought every single Welterweight he can, still hasn't officially been dropped in his career in a fight (to the haters who say he has a "weak chin", Torres was a push). He's been a good soldier to Top Rank and they give him nothing but use him and his name. They lock him out of any super/mega fights purposely.

What Arum really would want to do is if he were to make it is have Cotto have to lose a few more extra pounds, not come in at optimum 147 for him, call the fight a "Welterweight Title fight" and market it as Pacquaio trying to win another title in another weight class. Arum and Top Rank only care about Pac so they wouldn't mind seeing Cotto be the victim. Arum last year said Cotto would get a DLH fight if he was to win but he was negotiating behind the scenes for Pac-DLH at 147 pounds. He was lying to Cotto the whole time. The week of Cotto-Marg, he even said if he won, he'd fight Clottey in Puerto RIco. Now he is trying to fool Cotto and use him again, pulling his strings like the Piece of **** he is. If Cotto is given the chance, he should say "I know you're using me and want me to lose, if you want me, I fight at 147lbs, no more concessions from me, I've given enough to you and gotten nothing". Let Pac come in at whatever he wants, same as DLH fight. Arum and Top Rank are the enemy of Miguel Cotto, and I would hope he is smart and realizes that.

Arum and Top Rank only care about Pacquaio, and Cotto is their next choice to use to keep his gravy train rolling to get what Arum and now King who has Mayweather really want.

At the end of the day Pac wins legacy wise...you cant knock this guy. True ATG fighting back to back world champions in different weight divisions. Floyd is my boy but even if Floyd beats him i dont think you can take his p4p crown tbh.

two things could be happening here. arum could be using the cotto possiblity for leverage in future dealings for mayweather-pacquiao.

or he could really want cotto-pac over pac-mayweather. because with cotto-pac, either way he wins. they're both his fighters.

    That's bull****.

If Floyd beats Pac, he's #1 P4P. Unitl then, it's Pac, JMM, and then Floyd

Ru Serious! Cotto couldn't stop Hatton, Hatton has shown vulnerbilities especially to the body(watch the urango fight) AND this is Cottos best punch, plus Cotto has much faster hands than Urango, a much higher skill level, and do not underestimate his chin, after all he did go a full 12 with Shane

Yes I am serious! You know Kosta Zyu was about at the level of recognition Cotto is when Ricky Stopped him. Just because a fighter has a signature puch doesnt mean he can excute it against certain fighters. (see DE La Hoya vs Pacquiao concerning Oscars left hook) Manny was able to do that to hatton because of the speed factor. Cotto is not as fast as PBF OR MANNY. I believe PBF and Manny both would beat Cotto. Unless I see a Destruction of Clottey which I DOUBT I have really seen no recent evidence to support your claims. A win 4 Cotto against Clottey but not an whuppin 4 sure.

If you people really think PAc stands a chance against a game Cotto, you are out of your mind. Pac wouldn't last against any elite WW.

Should Cotto get past Clottey and that is a big if, he would have trouble fighting Manny at a catchweight of 143 or something.

Cotto takes long to get his shots off and I can just see Manny tagging his ass before Cotto has had a chance to get to him.

It would be interesting just as long as pacman does not get cornered on the ropes otherwise it will be curtains for him, just like Michael Jennings experienced.

I really would not be surprised to see Pacman beat Cotto to be honest

    Speed Sure Does Kill

I kinda feel the same way. Nobody has given PBF a challenge in my opinion unless you count Castillio, which I don't, I believe it was easy work. He however is very selective of people he fights. If PBF WANTS the fight you can be pretty sure he will win and I believe he has seen something in JMM that he can exploit. I dont think it will even be close. I want Pac and Floyd to fight and Cotto vs Mosley. Then the winners fight. Thats my tourney dream. Manny is way better now than he was even in the second fight against Marquez. (SEE PERFORMANCES vs DIAZ, DE LA H., Hatton. Technique has improved and right hand is even more developed. when people try to tell me JMM beat him I say, how many times was pacqiuao knocked down? 0. how many 4 JMM? 4 and then ask yourself. WHO HAD MORE DAMAGE AT THE END, WHO WOULD YOU RATHER BE IN THE A.M. JMM got his face broke in the first fight round 1 let me remind. Manny has never been broken.
