    Agreed.

I think Pacquiao would pull off a decision win in a rematch at 150, but Cotto would put up a better fight than he did in 2009 (probably by making it less of a fight ). Santiago was definitely the worst move of Cotto's career. He had Miguel completely squared up with his head past his lead foot throwing the slowest and most robotic mitt combos I've ever seen.

I thought rematches were for close fights. Like khan vs peterson or maybe martinez v williams 1. I just don't see a reason for a cotto rematch. There are plenty of other credible opponents for pac.

Exactly. Not to mention the alignment was completely off; Pacquiao got his lead foot on the outside constantly with ease.

Agreed. Let Cotto fight at 154, let Pac weigh in at 144 and then it might make things a bit more interesting. Can't see it happenning though, there'll be a catchweight of 150 which tbh, isn't good enough.

This fight is nothing more than Arum looking to rebuild Pac's reputation as an exciting/dominant p4p champion by pitching him against someone who he knows can't really cause Pac much trouble. The Mosley fight was boring, he lost to Marquez so stick him in with someone who they know he'll destroy and Arum can carry on making money out of Pac for a few more years.

He has never been a linear title holder. Its a major hole in is resume.

Beating margarito was a personal accomplishent for Cotto but means little to nothing in terms of a boxing accomplishemt at this point. Margarito is not only completely past his prime he should not be allowed to fight any longer due to medical reasons. That is putting aside the fact he might never have won a significant fight without loading his gloves. Any top 10 fighter should have no trouble with him.

It means a lot to Cotto's resume.

There's only one guy left to get revenge on for Cotto. Which is why Pac-Cotto II makes sense.

If you're Cotto, you aim to take down Pac in a rematch then perhaps its on to Mayweather.

I think Pac is now saying he does not want to move up in weight at all. So, maybe this fight takes place at 147 pounds, which is still higher than the 144 or whatever was the catchweight for the first Pac-Cotto fight.
