Confusing..

This would seem to suggest that Cotto is vying for a rematch against Margarito which is in sharp contrast of his previous position of not wanting to give Tony an opportunity to make any money off him.

If Cotto adopted this apparent stance from the beginning then perhaps he would be fighting Margarito tomorrow night; a more appropriate fight, imo.

 

I think Cotto would beat him in a rematch.

I don't think Margarito has a pyschological edge because I think Cotto will believe that he used wraps against him, and that without them, he would have won.

He knows what it takes to outbox Margarito, and he's improved in boxing terms since then in my opinion, he looked just as sharp against Foreman but his left-hand seems more cultured overall, his jab was better and so was his control of the range and his approach was more patient and calculated.

Margarito since that fight has suffered a knockout loss and might be coming off a loss against Pacquiao if a rematch happens.

100% agree....that's why he is and will likely always be my favorite fighter. A rematch with pac would be a sham and a massacre and prolly end even earlier but I'd love to see marg rematch. Might still happen, if after he loses to pac.

That's just cause he wants to beat Margaresto's cheating ass in a rematch.

 

If Margarito wins, Cotto stands to make bucko cash fighting him in a rematch. If I were Cotto, I'd be rooting for him to win too.
