Which of these two fighters has a better chance of returning to form (or coming back better than ever) after recent devastating losses?

Cotto is much more talented but is a much more competitive division.

I can see Cotto coming back well as he is still better than most of the welters bar Margo and I do beleive if he boxes smart he could wina rematch.

There is only one fight worth watchig at 160 and thats KP Vs Abraham, good 50 50 fight in my eyes.

I give cotto the better chance, he will go down in history as the better fighter.

The Cotto fight wasn't a schooling he just hit a brick wall known as margarito and to be fair he was throwing as much leather as margarito, but he just wilted at the end due to the pressure of Margarito. Whilst Pavlik couldn't get his shots he was totally taken to town.

Cotto is more talented and versatile than Pavlik. He can come back strong.

But Pavlik is in a weaker division. Less competition could give him the chance to grow up a little in the ring and put some more **** in his arsenal.

Many of you aren't answering the question. He's not asking who the better fighter is, he's asking who has the better shot at recovering from the loss and getting back to where they were. My answer would be Pavlik. Pavlik's loss was more 1 sided, but he took less punishment. He also gets to return to a lower weight class, and fight much smaller men.

Cotto took a lot more punishment, has to stay in the same weight class, and will be fighting bigger guys.

I voted Cotto on his abilities, however i think Pavlik will now go on to do good things at MW if he can overcome Abraham

    Cotto

On the basis that he isn't a one trick pony, and lost to a guy who simply wouldn't (and couldn't) be denied on the night

By that logic Pavlik is already in form because he retains his belts and his position atop the MW division, while Cotto will still need to defeat Margarito in order to regain his belt and status.

As far as I'm concerned though both men have an equal shot at returning to their original form because they are talented fighters and mentally tough... the next question is wheather or not that's good enough to get back up for Cotto(against guys like Margorito and Williams), or stay on top for Pavlik(against guys like Abraham).

Pavlik easily. Cotto is in the same division of the guy who destroyed him.

Pavlik gets to move back down to 160 where he belongs.

These guys have one ****ing loss each. Cotto lost to a man who is just an all around bad dude. Pavlik lost to an ATG who fought the best fight he has fought in YEARS. This poll is completely assinine.

Incorrect. Back to form means fighting at the same level they were before, or showing litttle if any effects from their loss.

Pavlik has a better shot at beating Abraham than Cotto does of beating Margo or Williams
