Looks like team Pacquio wants to fight Cotto at 147 and refuses to fight at 154 ..Cotto will not go further than 150 ..If this is for Cotto's 154 lb strap why the hell would Miguel agree to fight anything south at 154..Once again Team Pac is trying to play the drain game ..

thats why this fight cant happen, pac wants to play welter he should fight welters, cotto doesnt want to come back to 147, they can fight at 150 and its cool but you will hear the catchweight draining arguments over and over again.
It definitely shouldnt be for a belt then.
I hope pac fights him at 154 so that he makes his 8th title legit, I expect it to happen at 154 though unfortunately, in an ideal situation cotto decides to fight floyd, I prefer that fight.

The whole catch weight nonsense will continue to ruin his legacy ..Fight the man at the legit weight at 154 and stop trying to always have an edge..

    Eh, unfortunately?

I doubt Pac will ever fight at 154lbs legitimately. Team Pacquiao are transparent in their bull****, Martinez is welcome at 150lbs, now they want Cotto down to 147lbs?

People need to step their foot down and say enough is enough.

If it's at 147, Pac's team aren't looking for the strap.

Hope Cotto sticks to his guns, and the negotiations fall through.

FFS with this catchweight nonsense. Fight each other within the proper weight class limits or don't fight at the weight.

They don't want Martinez at 150. They don't Martinez anywhere.

100% Agree and Arum can no longer bully Cotto into agreeing to this nonsense

Most likely you're absolutely correct in that assumption.

I think I read somewhere Roach mentioning the Martinez fight and that it'd have to be at 150lbs or less. With that said, my point being.. if he said that, then why not Cotto at 150lbs or above?

Meh.....I'm not even getting into that stuff. I just don't like the idea of catchweights in general. If a guy wants to come in under the max weight, fine, but there should be no stipulating that an opponent must do so also.

Arum is in a difficult position, he can't make the IV marquez fight because marquez want's a guaranteed 20 million. He is hesitating to make the bradley fight, because bradley can't draw flies, he most likely wants to make the peterson fight at 147, yet he would have a hard time explaining seeing how bradley beat peterson easily.

Cotto is his main choice for a casual fan friendly fight and ppv success. Cotto holds all the bargaining chips.

manny is ******ed. He already dominated Cotto the first time. Why would he need a catchweight if he wants to fight Cotto again at a higher weight? It's either 147 or 154 no more of this unnecessary catchweight ****.
