Come on man, we all know Baldomir wasnt great but he did earn a the belts by beating a champ...Coming into the Floyd fight Baldomir hasnt lost in the past 9 years...He may not have fought top notch comp...but point being is that he beat the champ...You cant take that win from him no matter how you try to downplay Baldomir...Floyd did what any other ordinary person would have done by taking the fight with Baldomir.
Completely different scenerios. Floyd won the first half of the fight. Castillo won the 2nd. Depending on how you score it, you can make a good case for either one winning. There is no way you should have Cotto winning the Clottey fight. Even with the knockdown. If you wanna argue with me round by round, be my guest. You'll lose.
Tell us again how the recession was the reason why Mayweather outdid Pac by 200,000 buys clown. :rofl Break it down for us mathematically ***.
Spare me! I'm tired of this economy bull**** it's ready made exuse for PBF haters.:deal The economy was **** when PBF's fights took place as well. Bush was in office then to. The fact is PBF has better numbers with common opponets. With your logic, why in the hell didn't Tyson-Holyfield do the best numbers ever? Clinton was in office and the economy was great.atsch The point is you just don't like the fact that PBF has done better with common opponets and when the numbers are in for his fight with JMM he will have done better numbers with him as well.:hi: The whole ecomony thing is weak one of the weakest arguments ever made regarding this.
I dont think its unfair. When Baldomir won, Floyd took the Zab fight and defended it by saying Baldomir was a nobody and it would be a waste of time to fight hiim. Im not denying Baldomir was the linear champ at the time, but he was by no means a top welter. I dont see how anyone can defend that he was a top welter when by Floyds own admission he was garbage. Ill holla atcha more about it in a little bit, i gotta get my daughter in the shower and get her ready for her kindergarten open house.
Awww, someone got a little butt hurt by the Zuniga comment didnt they? Id be glad to, I seriously doubt you will understand it though. As far as your round by round for the Cotto/Clottey fight...why would I give a **** about your scorecard? Youre clearly an idiot. I think its pretty safe to assume no one has ever accused you of being intelligent. Now, go jerk off to a Floyd sparring video.
I can give him credit. Who are you to take away Baldo's win he trained he showed up and beat the man put in front of him and won the linear championship from Zab. Your opinion of him doesn't change history. That's what irrational PBF haters like you do all the time. The nerve of you trying to discredit Baldo's accomplishments and him as a fighter.:nono
People wanted to see Floyd fight Baldomir. As per Brian Kenny admonishing Floyd for not fighting Baldomir or HAtton, Tell me dope, how wasnt Judah and Baldomir top welters when Judah was the undisputed welterweight champ and Baldomir was the guy who beat him.. I know you arent saying Margafago was a top welter when he had just lost to Williams and got beaten by Daniel Santos? I know you arent saying Cotto since he had no big victories on his resume and nobody knew who he was? Point blank, more people wanted to see Floyd fight Hatton and DLH then see Floyd fight Margafago or Cotto, as to why they sold so well.
Ranking says other wise my friend...When you beat the man, you become the man...Techinally, Baldomir was the man when he defeated Judah. Was he the toughest challenge for Floyd at the time....No, but you cant deny he was the guy to beat around the time he and Floyd fought.
Floyd looked for a replacement after Judah lost. Margarito was offered that spot and declined it. (probably because he was almost a year inactive) Baldomir was a top WW. Cotto was considered a top WW after beating Judah. (Despite Judah having been inactive for a year and not won in 2 years) Even the haters said that they won't consider Floyd the true champion of the division until he fights Baldomir. Specially if Baldomir went and faced someone else and lost.
AS I thought, you all talk pahtna. Bet you didnt even see that fight. Tell me again. How did the recession account for the fact that Mayweather killed Pac in both the Hatton and Oscar fights in buys. Tell me you know, mathematically and politically like you promised to do.
First of all, I'm not a Floyd hater by any means. And again, you know **** about the economy, if you did, you would have realized that when Pac fought Hatton, the economy was in much worse shape then when Floyd fought him. I attribute it more to not as many Hatton fans were able to attend. Little side note, the emoticons make you look you're a 15 year old high school girl talking to her bff in an instant message. Just out of curiosity...what were the exact numbers on Floyd/Hatton and Pac/Hatton?
Will do, come back in about 2 hours when I get back home. Or you can pm me if you want. Either way, Ill be glad to explain it to your dumb ass and make you look like a fool yet again.
I think this recession is overrated in terms of people not buying PPVs. People are still buying and they are buying because of good match ups.
