Cotto/Pac outselling Floyd/Marquez by far!

The funny thing is Cotto will take a worst beating than JMM

 

Come on man, we all know Baldomir wasnt great but he did earn a the belts by beating a champ...Coming into the Floyd fight Baldomir hasnt lost in the past 9 years...He may not have fought top notch comp...but point being is that he beat the champ...You cant take that win from him no matter how you try to downplay Baldomir...Floyd did what any other ordinary person would have done by taking the fight with Baldomir.

 

Completely different scenerios. Floyd won the first half of the fight. Castillo won the 2nd. Depending on how you score it, you can make a good case for either one winning.

There is no way you should have Cotto winning the Clottey fight. Even with the knockdown. If you wanna argue with me round by round, be my guest. You'll lose.

I dont think its unfair. When Baldomir won, Floyd took the Zab fight and defended it by saying Baldomir was a nobody and it would be a waste of time to fight hiim. Im not denying Baldomir was the linear champ at the time, but he was by no means a top welter. I dont see how anyone can defend that he was a top welter when by Floyds own admission he was garbage.

Point blank, more people wanted to see Floyd fight Hatton and DLH then see Floyd fight Margafago or Cotto, as to why they sold so well.

Floyd looked for a replacement after Judah lost. Margarito was offered that spot and declined it. (probably because he was almost a year inactive)

Baldomir was a top WW. Cotto was considered a top WW after beating Judah. (Despite Judah having been inactive for a year and not won in 2 years)

Even the haters said that they won't consider Floyd the true champion of the division until he fights Baldomir. Specially if Baldomir went and faced someone else and lost.

Tell me again. How did the recession account for the fact that Mayweather killed Pac in both the Hatton and Oscar fights in buys.

First of all, I'm not a Floyd hater by any means. And again, you know **** about the economy, if you did, you would have realized that when Pac fought Hatton, the economy was in much worse shape then when Floyd fought him. I attribute it more to not as many Hatton fans were able to attend. Little side note, the emoticons make you look you're a 15 year old high school girl talking to her bff in an instant message. Just out of curiosity...what were the exact numbers on Floyd/Hatton and Pac/Hatton?

I think this recession is overrated in terms of people not buying PPVs. People are still buying and they are buying because of good match ups.
