    And remember the pace of those fights were different. Oscar and Floyd were playing a game of checkers trying to think the other, while Cotto and Mosley played highspeed chess. They fought those fights at 2 very different paces.

    Not really because look at it, if Cotto had 3 belts, it would be a bigger fight than what it would be now. Floyd's reasons of money issues and not enough Cotto following would be gone. It would be a bigger event than Chavez vs Taylor. Because with all that the public would be MORE familiar with him than they are now. If Floyd still had something to say in opposed to fighting Cotto considering all that then yes Floyd is affraid.
