He's still a paper champ. I fail to see how it's unfair to point it out, it's the truth. As far as Quintana, I don't know what to think of that guy. He's basically living off of one win just like Baldo. He's also been destroyed twice. Quintana was a former sparring partner of Cott's and was tailor made for him. It is for this reason that they gave Urkal the step aside money in order to fight him.

It's hard to tell. Cotto's problem isn't location but finding a solution to Marg's pressure style.

I think it should take place in madison square garden. That's a classic historical place. But, the way these guys fight, maybe it should be in Manilla. Its sad though that these guys have to keep fighting each other, war after war, while the so called ATGs don't have the guts to fight these guys. But, MSG will make a great place for a rematch.

Quintana upset Joel Julio too when he was the IT prospect.

The guy's good as a spoiler, terrible as the favorite.

If he truly wanted to prove he was the best Welter, he would be fighting Williams. Instead, he's taking less money to fight a lower ranked fighter that he already beat. I have no issue with the fight. However, if you're going to imply that Williams doesn't want to prove he's the best Welter, you have to say the same thing about Margo.

Sure he would. That's why he never tried to reschedule the fight. That's why he called out every Welter except Williams.

He wanted Margarito since he mad him cry. Give me a ****ing break. He wanted Margarito instead of Williams. I highly doubt he is afraid of Williams.

I'm sure that was directed towards mex-legend but I'm sure Williams wants to be the best welter. Both men do obviously.

As for taking the lesser fight, Clottey's no joke..and his win over Clottey is clouded with controversy. Clottey has also earned the rematch in my eyes, although I'm sure everyone with a pulse wants to see Williams-Margarito II.

How do you know him or his team never tried to reschedule the fight? Do you know the guy or his team personally? Truth is, none of us know a dam thing, all we do is hear reports and we all know reporters exagerate there stories to make it look a lot more interesting than it actually is.

so everyone who is a paper champ is not a real champ? and what are you trying to imply about Urkal that he shouldve gotten the oppourtinity instead, because last time I check he got his chance and got stop in the 11th right after the quintana fight... and as for quintana you know hes a tougher challenge than baldomir... you always have the what if, not like baldomir... he brings hes a A game you know its going to be a long and frustrating night... just ask your boy paul williams or julio about it:D

Manny Steward said they wouldn't reschedule. I wish I still had the link of it.

He just didn't want to fight Williams. He was all trash talk about Paul until he struggled against that can with a chin on the Mayorga/Vargas undercard. Then he hurt his hand and the fight would be postponed...then the fight was cancelled with no chance of rescheduling. Then when Williams was set to face Quintana, Cintron re-emerged calling out every welterweight on the radar.

To show both sides of the coin, there's a rumor Cintron wanted the fight to be moved to the Summer time and Goosen thought that was too far away.

Edit: We talking Cintron or Margo here?

Like I've already said, I have no problem with the Clottey fight. Clottey has a real shot at beating him.

What are talking about? You're responding to a post where I was talking about Cintron's reluctance to fight Williams.
