It only natural for Cotto to think that...after the starching he gives pumpkin head Pacquiao...he will ask himself did he really need the extra training ?

 

That's not true at all man. Pay attention to the way Cotto boxes and moves laterally. He almost never punches on the move. He's always having to stop and set his feet under himself in order to punch. That's what enabled Margarito to tee off on him against the ropes because he knew Cotto always had to plant himself in order to throw.

eh who knows what cotto will do in the fight, he could try to muscle him and cut the ring off or he could try a counter-puncher style like JMM , and try to win that way, which i don't think he is as good at that style as JMM . have to see really, i just know it seems like manny is focused on A LOT of things other than his fight coming up if you watch the 24/7. a lot of people like to compare him to duran , which the only similarity is being distracted by fame.

Lets see Miguel Cotto has faced Malinaggi ,Judah and Mosley all fighters with speed and two of them with more pop than Manny ..If anyone is going to have a long night its going to be Manny ..This is not a head first fighter like Hatton or a completly dehydrated part time welter in Oscar ..

 

I think that many are under estimating Cotto's boxing ability combined with the power ! We seen against SSM he was able to boxing quite well and still deliver his power to the body. I think Cotto will impose his size, strength and power shots to Manny's body and his timing will offset Manny's speed.

Agree. I think he'll start off trying to fight Pac the way he fought Mosley and if he can't time him properly in the first 4-5 rounds, then he'll start cutting off the ring to apply pressure, use his size and power to try and overwhelm Pacman.

Cotto will win wether the fight is long or short dont be surprised if its short, Cotto ko fighters his size regularly

 

I could say the same thing for Pac. No matter who wins, it will be a tough fight for both guys.

 

I seriously doubt Cotto agrees with that, and neither do I. Cotto will be more than fine anywhere in that ring. Right dead in the center of it. Wherever. Cotto is exceedingly clever and well timed. It's been said to death, but some people are still slow on the uptake..
