I don't believe it made a difference to his offence either. Marg was throwing right hands to get Cotto to move in the other direction where he could get him with the a combo of uppercuts. Margarito doesn't rely on accuracy. If he did you would be correct. But he throws clubbing/thumping punches that are aimed to land anywhere in a general area. Cotto was tiring and Margarito was landing more and more punches (certainly no more than Cotto, but more than he was earlier in the fight). This leads me to the assumption that the last 3 rounds would have been very hard for Cotto had Marg been allowed to continue, although I think Cotto would have held on.
Yeah, not saying you're wrong and I'm right. Anything could have happened if the fight went the distance.
He still wasn't landing and Cotto, while tired, was still moving and starting to stand his ground on the inside. That was never going to be anything but a Cotto win.
Margaritos eye looked much the same as it did when Pac gave him a beating, and there was a fractured orbital bone lurking underneath. Knowing that to be the case it shouldnt be a surprise when he gets stopped on a similar injury, for all the Doc knows its the same again under there, or worse.
