First off, Clottey is strong, but he is not a big puncher. His KO % is pretty low, so its no suprise that Cotto would say Pacquiao hits harder.

But Cotto is absolutely right, it may be a difficult fight for Manny.

The thing about this fight is that before, fighters like DLH and Cotto thought they could just dig in to manhandle the smaller Pacquiao.
......after that beatdown of Cotto by Pacquiao, I dont think any legit welter is going to go in with that mindset.

Styles do make fights, and its very possible that Clottey could shock Pacquiao and just plain use his tight guard defense and a jab to outpoint him.

This matchup could very well turn out like Felix Trinidad's vs Winky Wright. Trinidad had the snap and punching power at middleweight, but he did'nt have the brute force to break through that turtle shell defense of Winky's.

I think this matchup of Pacquiao and Clottey could very well parrallel Trinidad-Wright.

 

Clottey fights with decent activity......his problem is that he has lapses during the late stages of fights.
.......he altogether just stops fighting, and that indeed could be a problem agaisnt Pacquiao, because it sure as hell has been a problem against anyone of note he's ever faced.

Pac.. roid or no roid hits way harder than Clottey. Clottey has respectable power. Pac has a lot of power in his left. The right... leaves a question mark. He did not have no pop in that hand originally. You cant just become a puncher with your weak hand. That dont happen naturally. You may use it more effectively but not power wise.

 

Actually he has stunned people with his right hook from 108-145.He has stunned people with it before and even dropped fighters wit it.It is much improved..

However,i think Cotto is right.I believe Jushua beat Cotto!! and the wrong fighter won the fight.

Shane's still the most dangerous Welter 2day.Mayrunner is brave if he takes this fight.he has no choice bcoz he is backed up in the corner with no way out.So he has to.Anyway i think he will do alota running in this which will get boos.Shane doesn't like doing all the chasing IMO.
