Cotto is the type of fighter who I've always believed was always on the highest level, but mentally he was lacking the confidence. He's had a rough patch in his life with the Margarito controversy and losing his father, that's enough to take down any man. I'll always respect this man and route for him no matter who he fights he needs to remove the thought of being "damaged goods" and more like "reconstructed" better than before. If he indeed did say this this is what I've been waiting to hear. He needs to work on his speed and defense badly and eat, sleep, and train every second of his life on how he is going to beat Pacman. He basically needs the hunger and knows he has to fight like the best in order to beat the best. He also needs the best sparring partners available because that is something I have always been questioning about him.

 

I somewhat agree, But you are talking about a fighter on the heavy decline that we all remember with those skills @ 140/147lbs.

I seem to recall Cotto also has the tendency to take shot's from "Journeyman".

ill take him over Jnr and Margo but he gets his face rearranged again against Pac - hes just too fast for cotto and he cant handle the accumulation of shots. Id like to see him in against Mayweather just for the payday and the interest of how theyd handle each others styles (even though floyd wins this) or Angulo who i think cotto takes
