He seemed cocky because he knew Gomez couldn't hurt him and he could walk through his punches all night long. No way in hell does he do that with PBF or Margo.

He surely picked the right fight to do that ... he won't do it again ...

He looked alot faster ... but that could be contributed to Gomez being so slow ... I knew that Cotto was going to have to advantage on speed and he showed it.

I don't think he did anything in my mind, but beat a guy that shouldn't even been in the same ring as him.

I think that Cotto's whole method of going about this is setting him up for destruction.

I did see that cockiness come out of cotto during the match. I was hoping that he would get caught while he was showboating b/c that is what he deserved being flashy like that IN THE RING. PBF may be cocky/flashy outside the ring, but IN THE RING, I can't recall him showboating like cotto did against a CLEARLY outclassed opponent. I understand wanting to put on a show, but that was like a NBA team taking on a high school JV team. Take em out and get it over with.

That didn't show much about Cotto ... it didn't impress me and I thought that he shouldve been a bit more classy than that. I could see if he did that every fight ...

    He won't do that **** again ...

In his younger days PBF was quite cocky in the ring. I remember during one fight Roy Jones and Merchant were talking about the upcoming Superbowl and PBF chimed in saying that he was taking the Patriots during the fight. One of the funniest moments ever. I'm sure others remember it as well.

A "past his prime" Mosley beats anyone at welterweight not named Floyd Mayweather Jr. We need to stop trying to hate on Mosley just because of how old he is.

I figure Cotto wanted to be entertaining without hurting Gomez. At that point Alfonso was busted up and was throwing slow winging punches with no steam on them. At that point, Cotto more or less danced around and winged precise shots when the time called for it.

Had he been as relentless as he was during rounds 1-3 it might've been really bad.

That's what I'm saying. If Cotto was a cocky dude, then I would have expected it out of him. But everyone jocks the guy b/c he comes off all humble and ****. Then for him to pull the bull**** he did against a clearly outclassed fighter, leaves much to be hoped for. I wonder if this is the REAL cotto... I defineatly think he is sipping that same Kool Aid tito was drinking back in the day prior to Bhop. I hope he snaps out of it b/c I want to see this mega fight.

I remember that one all too well. I think he did it twice in that fight.

He won't make it to Floyd because he's going to get knocked out by Margarito ... and I don't care what anyone thinks ... they can call me a hater or whatever ... there's no way that Cotto stands a chance.
You see he avoided talking about Mayweather during the post fight interviews. But managed to say something about Margarito? ... I don't get it --

I think he knows he can't beat Floyd ...

Any other fighter wouldve been like "Bring on Floyd ... I'm the best out here"

He wouldve said something to state his case ... It seemed like he somewhat bitched up.
